About Rae
For too long, I lived life thinking something was wrong with me.
I had jobs that looked impressive to others, but were actually just overwhelming and unfulfilling. I judged myself harshly for not being able to suck it up and conform to society’s expectations. I thought I was the problem.
But one day I realized: I wasn’t failing, I was wandering.
My path took turns I didn’t expect. Health challenges forced me to slow down and listen more closely to what was really going on. I found myself moving between doctors’ offices, asking questions about hormones, mood, digestion, and energy, slowly realizing how inseparable it all truly is.
That was the moment something shifted.
I began to see health not as isolated symptoms to fix, but as a web of connection; how the gut speaks to the brain, how stress reshapes the body, how our environments and expectations shape our inner lives. Nothing exists in isolation, and neither do we.
My background in social work gave me language for this interconnectedness, but my lived experience gave it meaning. I learned that healing doesn’t come from pushing harder or judging ourselves into change. It comes from gentle awareness, from being willing to pause, from walking a path with curiosity instead of shame.
Health coaching became the place where all of this finally came together. It’s a way to honor complexity without being overwhelmed by it, and to support change without asking anyone to abandon themselves along the way. In fact, it helps us find ourselves.
I don’t believe we need to be fixed. I believe we need space, support, and permission to listen to what our lives have been trying to tell us.
I’m still walking my own path. And I know now that wandering was never a failure: it was how I learned to see the whole landscape.
